Lactation Revel Bars Recipe

Eating a healthy diet is especially important for a breastfeeding mum as the body uses up a lot of nutrients and energy when breastfeeding. You need foods that are rich in protein, calcium, iron and vitamins in your diet, for baby's milk and your own well-being.

As per dietician and other resources, you don't need to eat special foods to be able to lactate or produce milk, but for the sake of our cravings and our well-being we need to eat these okay?

So here's our yummy lactation bar recipe, as promised! I baked these in the early days when my baby still slept and stayed in the cot for hours! Be warned, it's so addictive you might be able to eat them all in one sitting! 😂

Enjoy baking...and eating! 🐝✨

  • Combine butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Mix in high speed until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla and mix further in low speed. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl combine all the remaining base ingredients. Combine this with the butter mixture until well incorporated. Set aside.
